The Lotte Berk Method

Designed to achieve a lean, supple and toned body. The Lotte Berk Method will help you improve your physique and make you strong.

Created over 60 years ago by a German dancer, Lotte Berk, the exercises are based on modern dance, yoga and physiotherapy.

Used worldwide ever since by professional performers, athletes, and those searching for general fitness.

The exercises are strenuous without being aerobic, achieving targeted results as the clients are encouraged to work at their own pace. The Lotte Berk Method is available to all levels of fitness and ability.

Pilates

Joseph Pilates based Pilates on six key principles: Breath, Concentration, Control, Centring, Precision, and Flow. Although the exercises have evolved, these principles remain central to all forms of Pilates.

Mat Pilates uses small, controlled movements and bodyweight exercises to strengthen the core, improve posture, flexibility, balance, and coordination. It focuses on controlled breathing and precise movement to develop strength, body awareness, and overall muscle balance.

Move well. Feel strong. Be confident.

Uplifting, low-impact classes inspired by the Lotte Berk method and Pilates to build core strength, improve posture, and help you move with greater confidence and alignment.

Why It Works So Beautifully

By blending the sculpting precision of the Lotte Berk method with the mindful flow of Pilates’ six principles - breath, control, centring, concentration, precision, and flow- each class offers a supportive way to develop strength, balance, and ease in your body.

What You Can Expect

In each class, you can expect a warm-up, followed by barre-inspired work, mat work, and stretching. Classes are low-impact and adaptable, so you can work at your own level, with options to challenge yourself further throughout.

How You May Feel

This practice can help you feel taller, stronger, more balanced, more connected in your body, and happy.

My Approach

For me, teaching is about creating a space where you feel welcome, supported, and able to enjoy moving in your body. I aim to guide each class with calm encouragement, thoughtful instruction, and an approach that lets you work at your own pace while quietly noticing your progress over time.

Whether you are new to this style of movement or returning to it, I hope you leave each class feeling comfortable, well cared for, and quietly pleased that you came.
